Don Vance Sr., or “Big Don” as he was known, began selling cars after retiring from the U.S Air Force. After years of hard work and learning the business, he jumped at the opportunity to purchase a Ford dealership in Versailles, Missouri, in 1978- the original Don Vance Ford. Don Vance, jr. learned the business working along his father’s side for 11 years before partnering to open Don Vance Ford in Marshfield Mo in July 1992.
Since then, Don Vance Ford has rapidly become one of the Midwest’s most successful dealerships. The car business has continued to grow and become more complicated in a lot of ways. But we have always tried to keep it simple- showcase a huge inventory of Americas best vehicles, priced right, and work hard to help buyers find a vehicle they absolutely love and a team they trust. Using this formula, Don Vance is now one of Ford’s top dealerships for Super-Duty Trucks and has received Fords prestigious President’s Award 13 times.
In 2012, Don and his wife Vickey successfully launched Don Vance Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram just a few blocks from Don Vance Ford.
