With the Pro, XLT, and Lariat, you get a 98-kWh battery pack and dual electric motors to provide the massive pickup with all-wheel-drive. The total power output is 452 horsepower and 775 lb-ft of torque. A larger extended battery is available for the XLT and Lariat, which has 131-kWh. This battery is also standard on the Platinum trim and will increase the horsepower to 580, among the best in the class. What features are expected with the 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning?
Four impressive trim levels are available for the F-150 Lightning, and each one comes with a massive amount of luxury, tech, and performance items that you will be sure to love! The first trim is the Pro, which comes standard with 18-inch wheels, LED headlights, DC Fast Charging capability, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry, heated front seats, and a digital instrument cluster. In addition, there are all kinds of tech here, as the Pro is standard with a 12-inch infotainment screen, which has Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a six-speaker sound system. Finally, eight 120-volt household-style electrical power outlets are available, with four in the front trunk, two in the bed, and two in the cab. The XLT adds to this with cloth seats and flooring, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a power-adjustable driver’s seat and pedals, front parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera system. You can also opt for the High Optional package with a power tailgate, Pro Power Onboard, and more! The Lariat takes things further with LED cargo bed lighting, power-folding side mirrors, leather upholstery, a wireless charging pad, a 15.5-inch touchscreen, and an eight-speaker B&O sound system. The 511A high package includes a twin-panel panoramic sunroof, Ford’s BlueCruise system, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and heated rear seats. If you want all the bells and whistles, the Platinum trim rounds things out with upgraded leather upholstery, messaging front seats, and a home charger.
Is the F-150 Lightning safe?
On top of being powerful and well-equipped, the F-150 Lightning is also one of the safest trucks on the road, thanks to a bevy of available safety systems! On the Pro trim, you can expect automatic emergency braking, which will warn you when a frontal impact is imminent and apply the brakes if you fail to do so. A Blind-Spot Warning system with a Rear Cross-Path warning alerts you when your vehicle is in a blind spot when performing a lane change or while in reverse. The Lane Keeping system will make some minor steering corrections that will keep your F-150 Lightning in its lane, and the rear parking sensors will alert you to all kinds of obstacles that may not be behind the vehicle when parking. In addition, you can get adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping system, and evasive steering assistance with the 312A High Optional package.
